Brochure Printing: Choosing The Right Paper

Barone Press provides many options available in brochure printing. The standard brochure printing paper size is 8.5 by 11. Some businesses do opt to have a larger layout using the 11 x 14 paper size. In addition to the paper size, another thing to consider for brochure printing is the type of paper used. It is not uncommon for businesses and small non-profit organizations to use standard bond paper in different colors. Although the choice of bond paper is economically affordable, it doesn’t always leave the best professional impression. The professionals at Barone Press can help you decide which type of paper is best for your business brochures.

When choosing your paper for your brochure printing there are four types of papers to select from. The first is newsprint. A thin, lightweight paper most often used for printing newspapers and trade publications. Given the lightweight weave of this paper, it is not very durable and is prone to tear and wrinkle. This type of paper is not a good option for brochure printing.

The second option is offset. Also commonly known as bond, is a less expensive all-purpose paper. Although many people do use this type of paper for their brochure printing, it’s really more suitable for general printing. Brochure printing on this type of paper is cost effective and good for a small home business, organization or other areas that have a need for brochure printing but are on a tight budget.

The third option is matte. This is a denser, generally smoother paper, similar to the paper used to make greeting cards. Typically matte paper does cost a bit more, but the use of this paper for brochure printing leaves a favorable impression. The printing technology at Barone Press easily handles matte paper and the results are fantastic!

The final printing option is glossy. Glossy is a thicker paper with a glossy appearance, this is a great paper option if you are doing full color brochure printing. The print specialists at Barone Press can show you samples at how powerful and professional this printing option looks and how it can benefit your business.
